A busy but most enjoyable morning was held on Saturday 23rd November when representatives of all Tabernacles in the District were entertained to a well organised and presented ceremony with the admission of a new Knight Templar Priest and a most exemplary installation of the new High Priest.
This was followed by a demonstration of one of the Appendant orders The Most Excellent Master.
Even the attendance of those from the furthest parts of the District were aware that their travels paled somewhat in comparison with that undertaken by Most Eminent Knight Priest Ian Patterson Duff, Deputy Grand High Priest, who having travelled from his home in Scotland, not only enhance the meeting with his presence but conducted the Grand Point in a most delightful manner.
The District Grand Superintendent, Right Eminent Knight Priest Dr Warner Barton, was delighted, not only with the meeting but also the support from District members toward the Tabernacle, himself but more importantly, to the Deputy Grand High Priest who had travelled so far to be with us.
The meeting was rounded off with a delightful meal of the standard and quality synonymous with Barnstaple.
