It was reported at today’s Executive Committee meeting that the Pillar Fund has now reached £200,000 which is an amazing feat considering how long it has been in operation. It was the unanimous view of the committee that we are now in a position to commence a serious search in the York area for suitable premises which would be within a short taxi ride of York Station to make it easy for any delegated attending committee meetings to reach. To this end, the property sub-committee will be approaching two Agents in the area to research and find properties which will fit an extended specification.
We are grateful for the support shown to us in getting thus far, but would ask for that support to be continued to enable us to purchase a property relatively debt free (or with a small loan) and to provide a contingency fund for any future maintenance issues.
